Greetings readers :)

I know it has been a while since I have posted something real, and I just wanted to give a short explanation as to why… Life has been crazy for me the last week or so. Allow me to demonstrate with my time punches from last week:

As you can see, I have had one crazy sleep schedule! Goofy work schedule aside, I have been pouring my free time into watching TV with my wife, or playing WoW (go figure, right?). Kelley and I actually just finished a marathon session of Sex & the City over the weekend, gotta love HBO on-demand!

We are also starting to move forward with the selling of our house soon… We have a painter coming today to spruce the place up a bit, hopefully. He will be painting our three big rooms that are all connected, as well as the hallway and all the trim work - All for $200! We just couldn’t pass up that deal when he gave us the price!

Anyway, back to work .

I just couldn’t resist posting Microsoft’s guide to Leet hax0r speak.

YES! I finally purchased a brand new laptop. It is the Asus z80k, mine is decked out with the AMD 64bit 3200+, 1gb pc3200, and a 60gb 7200rpm drive. Unfortunately the first one I purchased has a bad video card in it, the card worked fine until the laptop started heating up, then *BAM* artifacts. Luckily the company I purchased it from has another one and just swapped my parts into it. I played WoW for around 30 minutes as a test last no - 0 problems with this new one. This thing flies so far and I am loving it. There are only two more things I need for this to complete my dream laptop, more AC adapters and an internal bluetooth card…

Anyway, back to work.

I found an article on usenet that recommended using the RW Key Factory plugin to map the keyboard shortcuts of MCE to the ATi Remote Wonder. It was also recommened to use RW Key Master to remap the master buttons correctly.

Here is a MS KB article on how to fix the issue we ran into installing VBLite at work.

Here is the fix for getting the Sonic Cineplayer to work with FFDShow: create a DWORD registry value under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sonic\CineMaster DS DVD\2.5\VideoDecoder] called “AllowAllRenderers” and set it to 1.
